On September 29, 2021, the LNSS project (561633-EPP-1-2015-1-AM-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) was monitored by representatives of the Erasmus+ Program Office in the Republic of Belarus represented by the program coordinator Oksana Minich and Ekaterina Minyukovich, office administrator .

Representatives of the partner universities of the project made a presentation on the results of the work of partner libraries after the end of the project, on past and upcoming events, on the impact of the project on the modernization of libraries and increasing the competencies of library personnel. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the project results in the development strategy of universities, as well as in documents regulating the activities of libraries.

Representatives of the Program Office Oksana Minich and Ekaterina Minyukovich gave recommendations to the participants of the event on ensuring the sustainability of the results of the LNSS project (Library Network Support Service: modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services) and its further promotion.

Monitoring was carried out at the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

 

Monitoring of the results influence of the project 561633-EPP-1-2015-1-AM-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP "Library Network Support Services: modernising libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming libraries" (LNSS) and its application was held by representatives of the National Office of Erasmus+ in Republic of Belarus on December 23, 2019 at BSU.

Directors of the LNSS project of universities-partners made reports on past and future events, on project influence on modernising of libraries and library staff development.

 

Training “English for Specific Purposes (Library Vocabulary)” was held at BSU Fundamental Library on 16-19 May, 2016 in frame of the project “Library Network Support Service (LNSS): modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services”.

Instructors: Jerald Cavanagh, Padraig Kirby (Ireland), Angela Repanovici (Romania), Manolis Koukourakis (Greece).

The librarian staff from Belarusian State University, Academy of Management, Belarusian State Pedagogical University, Belarusian State Economical University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State Linguistic University took part in this training.

All participants received the certificates according to the training results.

The seminar-training “Development of modern library websites, online platforms and portals” within the development of the advanced training course "Innovative online services for libraries of the 21st century" was held on 24 of November, 2016 in the BSU Fundamental Library. It was held according to the project “Library Network Support Service (LNSS): modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services”.

From 3-5 October 2018 the staff of the BSU Fundamental library took part in the final meeting of the project "Library Network Support Service (LNSS): modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services” The meeting was organized at the Academy of Public Administration of Moldova (Chisinau, Republic of Moldova) with the supported by the Alecu Russo Balti State University (Balti, Republic of Moldova). In the framework of this event, partners from Belarus, Armenia and Moldova presented their reports. After the speeches of the librarians from University partners, there was a discussion of the achieved results, the exchange of ideas for the next 3 years. The culmination of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of partnership and cooperation between Libraries.

English Language Courses for Librarians have begun at the Belarusian State University Fundamental Library (Minsk, Belarus) from September 2018 under the Erasmus+ project “Library Network Support Service (LNSS): libraries modernizing in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services reforming”.

Classes are conducted by teachers of the Educational Centre “New Education”. The purpose of the training is to increase the competence of the library staff for an effective information library support of research, support of publication activity of an academic staff, development of international project activities and involvement of the library in the overall strategy of the University internationalization.

From  23-25 July 2018 the training "ESP for Librarians" in the framework of the  project  "Library Network Support Service (LNSS): modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services” was held at the  Belarusian State University Fundamental Library (Minsk,  Belarus).

 

The training was delivered by coaches from the Pyramid Group, Germany.

The training was  attended by librarians from the following university partners in Belarus and Moldova (Academy of Public Administration of Moldova, Alecu Russo Balti State University, Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian State University, Brest State Technical University, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno), librarians from  library-associate partner (National Library of Belarus) and  librarians from Belarusian National Technical University Science Library.

 

The training focused mainly on English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) and on online ESP self-learning resources. Ted Talk tools were also presented.

Finally during the training Dissemination & Sustainability Plans of Moldova and Belarus were discussed.

   January 29, 2018 in the Fundamental Library of the BSU was completed the second piloting LNSS training "The Electronic Library" (Module 6). Teachers of the training: V. Kulazhenko, M. Senko, A. Bogdanova, E. Kalinina talked about new trends and successful practices used in modern conditions in the formation of electronic content, automation of library processes and in the organization of access to electronic resources. During training sessions 40 specialists of the library were trained.

   The final session was attended by Valerya Racheeva and Margret Schäfer, representatives of The Pyramid Group (Germany). The partners from Germany monitored the implementation of the project activities at BSU.

   After the training, all participants were awarded certificates of participation in the training.






On April 26, 2018 the National Library Awareness Day was held in Brest under the auspices of the Erasmus+ LNSS Project (Library Network Support Services: modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming libraries modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming libraries).

The 2nd Library Awareness Day in Belarus was organized at the Brest State Technical University, and as the preceding event was demonstrated the potential of libraries for the development of life-long learning, as well as for the creation of a positive image of libraries in society.

There were three places organized for students, lecturers and librarians at the Brest State Technical University. The experts from libraries of Belarusian State University, Public Administration Academy under the President of Republic of Belarus, Yanka Kupala Grodno State University, Brest State Technical University, I.S. Lupinovich Belarusian Agricultural Library of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Brest Region Scientific-Technical Library, M. Gorky Brest Region Library and the representatives of Crete University and Transylvania University spoke about the current direction and developments of the libraries activities at those places.

Within the framework of the event, there was the exhibition of the books published by Belarusian universities – members of the Erasmus+ LNSS project.
At the end of the event the representatives of universities visited Brest fortress.


  25-29 September 2017 was held the Quality Assurance seminar-training in the framework of the LNSS project (Library Network Support Service (LNSS): modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services) at the University of Crete (Greece).

    The project coordinator, the Vice-rector for International Relations of Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia Theresa Khechoyan presented the events implemented since launching the LNSS Project and the results. In respect of the project achievements, it should be mentioned that in the framework of the pilot trainings of the developed eight modules and the ESP (English for Specific Purposes), teaching modules and quality assurance courses, delivered by the European partners, 522 specialists: librarians, teachers and students, have been trained.

   During the meeting members from nine higher education institutions of three countries (Armenia, Belarus, Moldova) were entrusted to carry out a SWOT analysis of the National Library Awareness Day which were held in their countries in 2017 and were prepared the project of the National Library Awareness Day in 2018 taking into account the previous mistakes. The results of the held events in Armenia, Belarus and Moldova were summed up by the trainers of the project Angela Repanovici, Professor of the Transilvania University of Brasov (Romania) and Gerard Cullen from The Pyramid Group company.

    The Quality Assurance training was held by Manolis Koukourakis, Director of the University Library of Crete, and Liliana Rogozea, Vice-rector of the Transylvania University of Brasov (Romania).

   The participants of the event visited the Library of the University of Crete, where they got acquainted with the exposition of the Library Museum, the methods of rare books restoration, the places for persons with disabilities, the rich library collection. Then the participants visited the new building of the Public library of Retimno City where was demonstrated the bibliobus and was told about methods of work of the public library.

 
    The seminar training was completed by Gerard Cullen ( The Pyramid Group company) with program for retraining «English as a Medium of Instruction ».
