Creation in the Republic of Belarus of a network of Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) is a project implemented by the National Intellectual Property Center (NCIP) in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in order to stimulate innovation. The project started in 2016 and aims to provide access to patent and technical information.

TISC at the Belarusian State University has been functioning since October 2020 on the basis of the Fundamental Library.

TISC provides the following services:

  • access to patent and non-patent databases of WIPO, NCIS and other free information resources in the field of intellectual property;
  • consulting during patent searches;
  • training in search skills in patent databases (through participation in seminars organized by NCIP and WIPO).
